Does your certification expire

on January 1st, 2025?

Start your recertification early!

Worldwide certifications are not valid for life and are linked to periodic recertification. With us, certification is linked to periods of 5 full consecutive calendar years. At the end of such a period, recertification follows. In your personal account (the dashboard) you can see when your certificate or certificates expire. If your certificate expires next January 1st, we advise you to take action from July and start your recertification. We will inform you in advance.

Positive result

  • As soon as you have passed the recertification audit:
  • (1) You will receive by email the recertification decision
  • (2) The new certificate of professional competence will be sent online for signature
  • (3) Will your public profile be updated with the new certificate details
  • (4) Your new 5-year certification period will begin

Not recertifying?

  • Don't choose to recertify? Your certification will expire and you will be deregistered as of the expiration date.

Choose the peer-review audit

  • The preferred option is the peer-review. Our advice: choose the peer-review!
  • In a peer review, a fellow certificate holder will do the audit (the peer review).
  • It is allowed to do the audit back and forth (each other).
  • A peer-review gives extra depth. After all, you are both professionals and together you can explore the content in depth. The peer review is ideally suited to stimulate reflection and improvement. The peer review is therefore also an invitation to go beyond the formal requirements, to keep each other sharp, and to create extra added value together, for yourself and for each other!
  • The peer review is recorded in a report. This report is confidential and will not be published. The report is in form and can easily be completed online.
  • We assume that you will not charge each other for the peer review.  So the peer review is also attractive from a cost perspective.

Office Operations Audit

  • Don't opt for the peer-review?
  • Then office-operations will conduct the recertification audit via a remote-document audit.
  • This will only look at the formal requirements.
  • Again: the outcome is recorded in a confidential report.

Formal requirements

  • The recertification audit looks at the formal requirements. These are:
  • (1) Have you achieved sufficient CPD points?
  • (2) Have you completed a sufficient number of client assignments?
  • (3) Have you completed your client assignments in accordance with the procedure(s) agreed with your client(s)?
  • The recertification audit must be completed no later than 1 year after the expiration date of your certificate. No further delay is possible.
  • After the expiration date, your certificate is no longer visible in your public profile unless you have submitted a request for it and this request has been approved. Your certificate can remain visible for up to 1 year after the expiration date.

Findings

  • It is always possible that a finding (a shortcoming) is identified.
  • You will then have time to correct it. Depending on the finding, a recovery period is set or it is agreed that this will be assessed at the next recertification.
  • The maximum recovery period is 1 calendar year.

Costs

  • For the peer review we charge a small handling fee of € 75, - excluding VAT.
  • The recertification audit via office-operations costs € 250, - excluding VAT, and is further excluding the handling of any findings.

Reference documents

  • All new versions of the reference documents will be published in March 2024.
  • We will keep you informed. We are happy to help you prepare for recertification.
